Join Texas Vignette for a visit to UNT’s Texas Fashion Collection where we will enjoy a behind-the-scenes Collection tour with TFC Director Annette Becker and a walk-through of the exhibition “Labor of Luxury: Embroidery from India to the World” featuring over thirty designs from global high fashion designers and brands, all featuring handwork created by Indian artisans. The exhibition calls attention to the skill, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage that informs the garments' production and reminds us of the global nature of the fashion industry. "Labor of Luxury" is hosted by the UNT College of Visual Arts and Design Gallery on the first floor of the UNT Art Building.

“Labor of Luxury” was curated by Annette Becker with Collection Manager Ailie Pankonien and assisted by Anna Smith, Annie Puga, Collin Farley, Gabby Goldstein, Jarryd Lara, and Isabel Saldivar.
